Looks Can Be Deceiving

Today I just wanted to talk about how appearances can be deceiving, especially in this day and age.

Let’s look at two men, for example. One is wearing a super nice business suit made from the finest materials, and the other is wearing jeans and a t-shirt. They’re both in a coffee shop getting a cup to go. The guy in the suit has a newspaper curled up under his arm, and the guy in the jeans and t-shirt is empty-handed, expect for his wallet.

They both order their coffee and leave. The man in the business suit heads off to work, but the guy in the jeans and t-shirt heads back home.

Now let me ask you a question…which one do you think has more money?

Just to clarify, I’m not only talking about material riches here, I’m talking about the riches of life, too. Which one is happier with their life? Which one works less because he doesn’t have to work more? Which one enjoys their work? Can you guess?

If you said the guy in the suit…you’re wrong. You see, nowadays the guy in the suit is unhappy. He’s working over 40 hours a week, barely ever gets to see or spend time with his family, and has to answer to someone else every single day.

Years ago you may have been right. Years ago, the man in the suit may have been the one with the money, but times have changed.

Back to the guy in the jeans and t-shirt…he probably doesn’t have to get dressed up every day to go to work. In fact, he probably doesn’t even have to go to work at all because he probably works from home. And because he works from home he gets to spend more time with his family, therefore, he’s probably much happier than the guy in the nice suit.

Are you picking up what I’m laying down?

Gone are the days when the rich wore business suits everyday. Now the rich work from home and wear whatever they want to wear. They work when they want to work, and they do what they want to do. They don’t have to answer to a boss, and they can spend as much time with their family as they want.

Doesn’t that sound nice? My point is this; you don’t have to be unhappy to have money. There are so many different ways to make money now, and many of those ways involve working from home, working your own hours, and being your own boss.

Does this sound like something you’d be interested in? If not, well, I’m not sure what planet you’re from, but it’s not earth.

I started working from home a little less than a year ago, and I can tell you from experience that I’m so much happier than I’ve ever been. I have no desire to go back to working for someone else. I’m happy being my own boss.

I now have my own businesses, which you’ll see below, and I just started another business doing what I love to do…archery! I was able to choose what I wanted to do, and so can you.

So if you’re not happy where you are, do something about it. There’s no reason to be unhappy and poor when you can be happy and rich.

That’s my advice for the day. Live your dreams. Be happy.
